Teachers and students participate in theater groups. This is not about lessons, but about leisure activities in the integration and education center. Acting in the theater has many positive consequences for the students. For example, cognitive abilities are strengthened in a fun way, because texts are used that have to be learned in order to be able to present good theater performances. The students also learn new expressions and formulations.

For many people, even into adulthood, it is difficult to speak in front of several people, to give lectures or to present themselves at all. It is therefore important to strengthen children's self-confidence at an early stage and to help them deal with their fears or, ideally, overcome them.

Other important social skills are also promoted at the Theater-AG, e.g. B. Ability to work in a team, communication skills, assertiveness and determination; these will only benefit the children later in life.

The advantages of the Theater-AG in the integration and education center are wide-ranging. Of course, it is important to create short plays that the students enjoy. At the end of the day, the performance also creates a shared sense of achievement for them.
